About the Business Finance Awards
Who should enter the Business Finance Awards?
Any business involved in the profession of business finance is eligible to enter: banks, VCs, insurers and other relevant finance providers, fintech specialists, UK and overseas business credit and corporate finance companies, independent consultants and agencies, or in-house departments of companies. Eligibility is as broad as the profession itself. If you are in any doubt, please call the Awards office for guidance.
The Business Finance Awards are about innovation, excellence and best practice. Over time, the Awards will create an archive of the best companies, services and products in business finance.
What is the closing date for entries?
Owing to delays because of Covid-19, the closing date for entries has been reset to May 31, 2021 and will be strictly observed. If for any reason you believe your entry will be late please notify the Awards’ office immediately, before the closing date.
Key dates to remember
January 1: official call for entries for 2021 Business Finance Awards
May 31: extended closing date for entries
June 1, 2021: table bookings open
June: first stage judging completed and short-list of Finalist companies announced
July: second stage judging complete
Late September/early October: Awards presentation in London (date and venue to be confirmed by June 1), subject only to any remaining Covid-19 restrictions still in place.
Will your entries be returned?
Entries will not be returned after judging. They will be securely destroyed after the Awards ceremony has taken place. Entries that make the short-list of finalists will be used in the Awards supplement published for the Awards. Any information marked as confidential will be treated as such by the organisers.
What will you receive if you win?
Every winner will receive a custom-designed polished white metal trophy and a winner’s logo for print or online use. Highly commended runners-up will receive an acrylic trophy and a logo for print or online use. All finalists will receive a logo to display.
Duplicate trophies or certificates may be purchased for other parts of your company to display, if you wish. Price will depend on whether you require multiple copies, or whether we can assemble batches of trophies to produce to keep the cost down. As a result you will always receive a quote.
As important as winning itself will be the publicity information distributed by the organisers after the Awards, telling national and local news outlets about the winners and high commendations. Wherever possible this publicity will provide links to the online Winners’ gallery on the Business Finance Awards website.
